Thanks to the 17 runners who raced this morning. It was a lovely day and you all ran well. Zane won the championship division boys race with the best time of the day. The other boys ran well also. In the girls race, we ran without several of our key team mates, but everyone improved on their Grant Park times. It is early in the season and it is looking as if we will be competitive in our region and a strong threat to qualify both teams for state again.

Remember.... We practice every day!!! Each day has a purpose. If you miss one element of the plan, then we are not going to be where we want to be for Regionals on October 29th. If you MUST miss a practice let us know by speaking directly on one of the coaches. No messages via friends or expecting to tell us the next day where you were. Each person on the team has a role to play. If you play your role well, everyone else will become better.
Mercer (Sept 17th) has been cancelled. We are looking at the Aubrae Gunderson Invitational in Conyers on September 24th as a substitute. We will discuss this on Monday at practice. Look at your calendars and plan ahead.
A light run Sunday would be good to stay loose over the weekend. Good luck to Mr. Darden in his race this weekend!
