Basketball Concessions
As you will remember, each year ABC manages the concession stand for Grady's home basketball games. Profits are used to fund senior night recognition for all of ABC's teams and clubs.
As in years past, this year ABC needs each team/club to volunteer to staff the concession stand for one home game. We ask you to do so because Cross Country is part of ABC, using its checking account and/or receiving grant monies from it and/or participating in parking the practice lot, which is managed by ABC. You will need to identify two adults to work. You are welcome to divide the time so that two adults work the girls' game and two adults works the boys' game (or whatever breakdown you prefer), but you need to provide coverage for both games. The volunteers will need to be in the concession stand 45 minutes before the first game starts and stay through half-time of the boys' game (boys’ games are start right after the girls’ games), a total of about 3 hours. Students cannot work the concession stand this year, per the new APS Athletic Department guidelines.
As a team, we need to select ONE game that we can work together. We will need at least 2 ADULT volunteers to work a three hour shift. HOWEVER, the more volunteers we have, the shorter the shifts. If any of you are willing to work one of these slots and serve as our "Concession Captain" on behalf of Cross Country, please let me know ASAP. We will then work to find additional volunteers to help work that shift with you.
Thanks in advance for volunteering!
